It looked better before I scanned it in when it was just line drawings.

Here are some variations for my type poster. I am going to print it at 24"x36".

I think i like the simple one that only says "MAKE THIS YOUR OWN" in the smaller scale.

I want to paint this on a wall with each letter being around 5'-6', not necessarily in these colors though.

I wanted to change the swash in the logo but it was too late adam already printed them.

Not sure on this.

I really like the sans serif for the design on the front of the packaging.
But I like Bodoni for the the rest of the copy (side panels and ingredients on the bottom).
Not sure if its a good mix if the company name appears in two different typefaces.

I am favoring the Bodoni since it is an Italian company and Bodoni is considered the typeface of Italy, or so i've heard.

The more I look at it I think I like the first type option, with the combo of Interstate and Bodoni.

I do really like the Archer for the "percent cacao" its unexpected but personally I feel like it works.

And I fixed the sciprt for the "PC" logo to clear it up a bit.

I'm really struggling to get this right.

Also I have been working on my typefaces but dont want to put it all till its all finished...... soon

I have to design a box of chocolate for Adam Wahler's class. We don't have crits on the design we just make the stuff, and I want to make this great. So any feedback before Tuesday night would help a lot. Disregard the color, thats just what I am working in for now , I'll figure out the color last. The red line running through it is where the box will be cut and the tab folds in. I was thinking about doing it as a series (dark, milk, white) keeping the design eh same but changing the copy and the color.

So I was looking for more typefaces and decided I wanted to try an ultra heavy face. I want to use the heavy face because it will allow me to play with the overprinting. But I couldn't really find anything I liked, one thing led to another and I made this typeface. It's only uppercase and no numbers yet unless I need them. I know this isn't anything original or amazing but I figured drawing it myself would make it a little special.

I put them into my hierarchy study. I think this second one looks best. Overall I think it all works well together....? But maybe not, and suggestions on some other possible faces that will work with what I have drawn?

I spent all day looking though typefaces. I went through all the ones on the blog and decided to do some type specimen sheets. I know i shouldn't have laid out the display faces in blocks of copy, but you never know, and i wanted to keep the same template across everything. These were taking a lot longer then i thought so I've abandoned them for now and im just working on the hierarchy stuff with only typefaces im considering for the thesis book, as opposed to these which were just using typefaces I liked. Im working on the type hierarchy now and will post soon.

I did an identity for my girlfriend last semester which included business card, stationary, envelope, writing sample booklet, and website.

This a poster based on the idea of "Take Back the Streets" it's kind of an insider reference to taking back street spots for bike riders. I really like this poster but never actually finished it because it was incredibly time consuming and had to move onto other things. Lots of parts are unresolved and some have place holders. The finished poster will be screenprinted in different color on a cream paper.

Spent all day doing research, it's hard to find reliable info on labor/economy of China even over the interweb.

I've been doing a lot of research but still cannot get a definitive idea about the point of the book.

I found this article about the changes in China which is really interesting and has lots of great information.

I also found this opening sequence from the documentary "Manufactured Landscapes". The size of this factory is really astonishing, I can't believe how big the building is.

These are the first one i did which are in a different color palette (the one i work in a lot). I thought i would switch it up and go in the total opposite direction. My thinking was that i want these to look screen printed or letter press, so by using only process CMYK it might be more convincing.
